The Cátedra is proud to present a new publication entitled 30 años construyendo puentes. Técnica e innovación. This publication in panoramic format takes the reader on a journey around some of the most iconic bridges built by the Generalitat Valenciana in the 30 years it has been responsible for building Valencia’s roads. A journey with 36 stops organised according to type of bridge construction (arch, slab, beam, etc.) and conservation activities.
In its introduction, the book offers several articles written by industry experts on the history of the transfer of responsibility for the road network (from the Spanish government to the Generalitat Valenciana), on the art and technique of building bridges, on the aesthetics of bridges and on the restoration of these pieces of historical and monumental heritage.
